Storming Chelsea win again!

Chelsea thrashed Bolton 4-0 in a repeat of Wednesday’s League Cup game.

The Blues rained chances down on the home side, but they only managed to find the back of the net in the 45th minute when Didier Drogba was brought down in the area. Frank Lampard converted the penalty with ease, adding another goal to his season’s tally.

Anelka found Deco in the second half, who slotted a skilful strike into the corner of Bolton goalie Jaaskelainen net to double the score.

It was soon 3-0 when Zat Knight deflected a Carvalho cross into his own net under pressure from Ivanovic.

As a final show of brilliance, Deco chested the ball on to Lampard and Lampard backheeled to Drogba, who slotted the ball neatly into the net.

After the game, Lampard said he was pleased with the team’s result and their growing goal tally, but insisted there wasn’t a trick to his high penalty conversion rate. “I just try to be confident and step up and score,” he said. “If there was a secret I wouldn’t tell anyone!”
