Kurt Zouma interview
What is the most exciting part of being on the pitch?
I am a defender so
the most exciting moment for me is when the game is still open in the last
minute and you make a big tackle to stop the striker from scoring. Then, after
that, you get a corner at the other end and you put your head on it and score!
What is your earliest memory of Chelsea?
When I played
PlayStation as a kid, I chose Chelsea every time because I like this club and I
was really happy for them when they won the Champions League. I have always
liked watching Didier Drogba and John Terry because they are legends here, so
to be playing alongside them now is incredible.
Who were your football heroes growing up and why?
When I was young,
one of my football heroes was Ronaldinho because, for me, he was the best
player of his generation. He was the perfect player for me and I used to play
on the right side of midfield as a kid, so I liked to dribble like him.
Who has the best taste in music in the squad?
Didier Drogba – it
is not the same music as mine, but this guy likes to put his music on, to dance
and he is so funny in the dressing room.
Who sits next to you in the dressing room?
Mohamed Salah sits on
my right and Andre Schürrle on my left. They are good neighbours – friendly
guys, who are so funny to sit with and I like both of them.
