Luiz gets the call
26/06/2012
Chelsea star David Luiz has been called up for Brazil's Olympic squad as one of their three over-23 year old players. The Blues defender has been capped 11 times for the full international side, but is likely to enjoy the chance of playing for the Olympic side in his adopted home in the UK.
Brazil have been drawn in the same group as Egypt, Belarus and New Zealand with their opening match taking place in the 26 July at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
The Great Britain football squad has yet to be announced by coach Stuart Pearce. The host nation will start their campaign with a game against Senegal at Old Trafford on 26 July.
However, Argentina will be the team for everyone to beat as the South Americans have won the last two Olympic tournaments in a row!
