Everton 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea continued their incredible run of form as they edged out a quality Everton side at Goodison Park 2-1. The Blues came from a goal behind to snatch all three points thanks to a brilliant double by Lamps!

Rafa Benitez kept David Luiz in his new midfield role for this game and Lamps came in to join him there. Hazard replaced Oscar and Ramires came in for Moses.

The game couldn't have got off to a worse start for Chelsea. In the first minute Anichibe headed against the crossbar only for Pienaar to rifle in the rebound to put the home side ahead.

It could have been even worse shortly after the opener when Jelavic curled a free kick over the wall, but the Blues were saved by the woodwork!

The game was racing from end to end, but it was Chelsea who snatched the equaliser just before half time. Torres did well out wide before playing in Ramires who crossed for Lampard to score a brilliant headed goal into the corner giving Howard no chance!

During the break Chelsea were forced to replace Cech with Turnbull after the Blues keeper injured his ankle.

Both sides were pushing for a winner in the second half with Lampard forcing a good save from Howard, and at the other end Jelavic again hit the crossbar for the home side.

In the end, the game was decided with 18 minutes left, and it was Chelsea legend Lamps who got the goal. Mata forced a brilliant save from Howard, but the Blues number eight was in the perfect place to smash home the winner from the rebound!
