What's the best thing about playing for
The best thing is that I play with the best players in the world. I play with guys like
John Terry and, last season, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole. Now, I play with
Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and all the other fantastic players here. To have
these guys with you is very good for a young player.
Do you have a favourite Stamford Bridge
hat-trick against Newcastle last season was a very good memory. The first goal
was a good one, and also the second one, when I combined with Samuel Eto’o in
the area. It was a great day for me.
Who do you sit next to in the dressing
training ground, I am between Didier Drogba and Thibaut Courtois and at
Stamford Bridge I am next to Cesar Azpilicueta and Mo Salah. They are all good
neighbours, I don’t have any problems!
Who were your football heroes growing up
This one is obvious to footballers of my
generation: Zinedine Zidane. He was a fantastic footballer and I’m glad I can
wear the No10 shirt this season, just like he did for France. I remember
watching on the TV when he scored two goals in the 1998 World Cup final against
Brazil, it was something I will never forget.
Can you pick your favourite goal of your
was at Lille I scored a good goal against Marseille, when we won 2-1 away there,
a month before we became league champions. I scored a long distance shot with
my left foot. Steve Mandanda was in goal and he touched it but he could not
stop it because it went straight to the top corner. You can see it on YouTube. It
was a bit like my goal for Chelsea against Stoke City in my first season here.
What do you like to do when you are not
time with my family and enjoy the free time with my kids. Sometimes, I go to a
restaurant for dinner, but I like to be with my family a lot.
