Juventus 3-0 Chelsea
Chelsea were well beaten by a strong Juventus side last night, meaning that they need help from Shakhtar to get through to the last 16 of the competition.
In a surprise move, Eden Hazard started up front for Chelsea and Azpilicueta moved to the right side of midfield. There was good news as Ashley Cole returned from injury to slot in at left back.
The match started at a fast pace and both keepers were soon in action. First Cech pulled off a world-class save from a close-range shot. At the other end Oscar played in Hazard who forced Buffon into an incredible save!
Juventus then upped their game and put lots of pressure on the Blues' goal, and eventually the first goal came. Quagliarella's shot from distance took a deflection and Cech couldn't stop it crossing the line.
The score stayed 1-0 at half-time thanks to a great goal-line clearance by Ashley Cole just before the break.
The second half saw the Blues looking to get back on level terms, but after 60 minutes Juve doubled their lead. Vidal found space on the edge of the area and his shot was again deflected past Cech!
The Blues fought hard to get a goal back, but Juve defended well and then in the final minute added a third goal. A fast break saw Giovinco run clean through on goal and he slipped the ball past Cech to make it 3-0.
