Chelsea v Man City Preview

23/11/2012

Rafa Benitez takes charge of his first match as interim first team manager on Sunday, and it doesn't get much bigger than taking on the Premier League champions at the Bridge!

Having had just a couple of days working with the Chelsea squad, Benitez will be looking to inspire the Blues to a famous victory. Chelsea currently sit third in the league, just four points City who are top of the league.

The two sides have already met once this season in the Charity Shield back in August. City ended up winning that match 3-2, but the Blues had been 1-0 up thanks to Torres until Ivanovic was sent off and City came storming back.

Benitez will have a strong squad of players to choose from with just JT and Lamps likely to be missing because of injury.

Let's hope the new gaffer gets off to a flying start on Sunday – come on you blues!
