Olympic update
02/08/2012
Team GB made it through to the Olympic quarter finals last night thanks to another goal from Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge. The home side needed a draw at worst against Uruguay, but they took all three points to finish top of their group when Sturridge turned home a close-range finish in the first half!
GB now face Korea in the last eight, with a possible game against Brazil in the semi-finals if both teams get through. Brazil have new Chelsea star Oscar in their team, and he came on for the last 10 minutes of their 3-0 win against New Zealand.
Sadly for Juan Mata and Oriol Romeu, the Olympics are over as Spain could only draw with Morocco 0-0 at Old Trafford, so they drop out of the competition.
