Swansea 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea dropped to second in the table on Saturday after Swansea scored a late equaliser to take a share of the points.
Chelsea started with Victor Moses who came in for the injured Mata and Azpilicueta kept his place in the side with David Luiz and JT both suspended. Swansea came into the match following wins against Liverpool and West Ham, so this was always going to be tough match for the Blues!
The first half was very close, with neither side creating many chances. Torres had a header cleared off the line after he found space at a corner on 12 minutes, and the same player had another headed chance midway through the half, but his effort didn't trouble Tremmel.
At the other end, Swansea had shown some neat passing, but the Blues defence looked strong enough to keep the home side out!
The second half saw Ramires come on for Romeu as Roberto Di Matteo pushed for the win, and it wasn't long before Chelsea had the lead. Oscar's corner was headed towards goal by Gary Cahill, and then nodded into the net from close range by Victor Moses – his second goal for the club!
Swansea now pushed on trying to get back in the match and Cech had to make a great save from a shot by De Guzman and then another from Dyer. Those efforts showed that Swansea were dangerous, and the proved the point with two minutes to go when they grabbed an equaliser!
Hernandez broke down the right, played the ball to Schechter who then layed the ball off to Hernandez who smashed a low shot past Cech, who had no chance.
The game finished 1-1 and Chelsea slip to second place, although the Blues are only one point behind Manchester United.
