Fran Kirby stars in England win

Fran Kirby played a huge part in England's 6-0 win over Russia as the Lionesses look to qualify for the 2019 Women’s World Cup finals in France.

The Chelsea Ladies striker set up the first three goals and won a penalty for England, which also reduced Russia to ten players.

Kirby took the penalty, which was saved, but she bounced back to help England to a 4-0 lead at half-time.

Millie Bright kept a clean sheet in defence, while Karen Carney came on for the final half-hour.

Maren Mjelde captained a Norway team that included Maria Thorisdottir as they beat Northern Ireland and then Slovakia over the last few days, scoring a penalty in the Slovakia game.

Ramona Bachmann also played two games with Switzerland, as they beat Albania and Poland in their group.

Like Bright, Hedvig Lindahl kept a clean sheet in goal for Sweden, as they beat Croatia 2-0.
