Chelsea host Everton in Premier League 2

Chelsea's development squad host Premier League 2 leaders Everton U23 this evening, looking to prevent the Toffees from winning the league with one game still to go.

The Blues, who sit in fifth spot in the PL2 table, could still jump up to fourth spot with just one good win, as Arsenal sit three points above them with the same goal difference.

They are safe from Tottenham in sixth, who are seven points behind.

Everton, meanwhile, are five points clear at the top of the table, but will be looking to win the title with a tough Merseyside derby against third-place Liverpool as their final match.

The young Blues have had a tough run of games recently, with away games against Liverpool and Arsenal finishing in losses, while a home game against second-place Manchester City also resulted in a tight loss.

When the Blues travelled to Everton on Halloween night for the reverse fixture, Dujon Sterling’s early opener was cancelled out late in the first half, and the match ended 1-1.

Kurt Zouma, Marco van Ginkel, Fankaty Dabo, Fikayo Tomori, Mukhtar Ali and Jay Dasilva all played in that match. Since then, Zouma has been called up to the first team set up, while the other five have gone out on loan.

Instead, Adi Viveash has turned to Chelsea great academy players, who have been doing so well in the FA Youth Cup.

Ike Ugbo has eight goals in ten games for the Blues, while Mason Mount has scored four. Sterling is still a key figure, with three goals to his name.

The match kicks off at Aldershot Town at 7.05pm tonight, and tickets can be purchased on the gate priced at just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. Season ticket holders can gain entry for free with their 2016/17 season ticket card.
