Stat Attack: loanee trophy winners

04/05/2017

Blues loanees Lewis Baker, Matt Miazga and Nathan all helped Vitesse to their first ever major trophy this week, after they beat AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Cup final.

But they're not the first Chelsea players to win a trophy with the side they were loaned too.

In fact, last season a number of Blues loanees won titles around Europe...

Did you know? Two Chelsea players won leagues last season while away from Stamford Bridge!

Juan Cuadrado, who who is currently on a loan deal at Juventus, won the Serie A with the club and came second in the UEFA Champions League.

Marco Van Ginkel also won a title, helping PSV Eindhoven to the Eredivisie. He could do it again with the same team this season!

Did you know? Tomas Kalas could gain promotion from the Championship with the second team in two years!

Kalas, who is currently on loan with Fulham in England's second tier of football, helped Middlesbrough to promotion last year. He is currently in sixth place, along with fellow Blues loanee Lucas Piazon.

He is not the only Chelsea loanee battling for promotion in the Championship: Izzy Brown is hoping to help Huddersfield Town win the play-offs.

Did you know? Two Chelsea loanees are battling it out for the Championship title!

Christian Atsu's Newcastle and Fikayo Tomori's Brighton are in first and second place in the table.

However, the best Chelsea loanee of recent years has got to be Thibaut Courtois.

Did you know? In the 2013/14 season, Courtois helped Atletico Madrid to their first La Liga title since 1995/96.

The big Belgian goalkeeper also won the Zamora Trophy, which is given to the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets in a La Liga season, after only conceding 24 goals!

There are still a few Chelsea players on for a trophy win this season, including Michael Hector, who is in the German Cup final with Eintracht Frankfurt!

Bertrand Traore, meanwhile, scored two goals as Ajax beat Lyon in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final.
