Alvaro Morata’s Spanish Omelette

Alvaro Morata’s Spanish Omelette

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Serves: 2

4 eggs
1 onion
1 potato
olive oil
Salt and pepper to season

1. Heat a dash of olive oil in a pan.
2. Ask an adult to help you thinly slice your onion and potato and then place them into the hot pan.
3. On a low heat, cook until the onion is soft and the potato is just starting to brown.
4. Whisk your eggs and then pour into the pan, over the onion and potato.
5. Continue cooking for around five minutes, or until the eggs are no longer runny, add a dash of salt and pepper, and then serve.

Stamford says:

"It’s very good to eat the best foods before taking part in sports, but it’s also important to eat properly afterwards! Some foods are better at helping your muscles recover from exercise, such as eggs and potatoes.

"Potatoes contain fibre, as well as lots of carbohydrates that are ideal for refueling hungry muscles. Eggs are full of protein and lots of other healthy vitamins.

"This traditional Spanish omelette could help your body after you play your next football match – and it also tastes great!"
