Blues host Arsenal in League Cup

Chelsea take on Arsenal at Stamford Bridge tonight in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final.

The two clubs played out a thrilling 2-2 a week ago in the Premier League, in the first of three matches between the two sides in just three weeks!

You can watch incredible behind-the-scenes footage from that match on BK TV HERE!

The last of the three games is the semi-final second leg, at the Emirates.

With that match on the horizon, the Blues will be aiming to get a good home result tonight so that they can take a lead into the away match on 24 January.

Antonio Conte is expected to play a strong starting side, and thankfully the Blues boss is only without new signing Ross Barkley, who is still recovering from an injury.

Both sides have history in the competition. If Chelsea win the semi-final over two legs, they will go into their eighth League Cup final. They have won the competition eight times! The Gunners have lifted the trophy two times.

Tonight's match is going to be huge in many ways, but it will be making history with one very interesting feature: Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology.

For the first time in a League Cup match, the VAR will be able to review refereeing decisions on video replay.

The technology wasn't used in last night's semi-final between Manchester City and Bristol City, as Bristol City's stadium can't host the VAR system.

The match kicks off at 8pm UK time tonight. Check out BridgeKids tomorrow for a full match preview!
