Blues through to League Cup semi-finals!

Eden Hazard scored the winning goal as Chelsea beat Bournemouth to go through to the League Cup semi-finals!

The Blues played brilliantly and created plenty of chances, but it took a moment of Hazard magic (and a bit of luck) for the Blues to make the breakthrough.

The Belgian midfield maestro started on the bench, with Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Willian in attacking midfield, behind Olivier Giroud.

Mateo Kovacic and Cesc Fabregas started in central midfield, in front of a defensive four of Emerson Palmieri, Toni Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen.

The ever-present Kepa Arrizabalaga was in goal.

Willian, Barkley and Loftus-Cheek were combining well from the first whistle, and it wasn't long before the Cherries 'keeper was tested by a rocket from Ross.

Giroud and Willian linked up after, with the French striker seeing his shot well saved.

The next chance fell to Willian, after some good work from Kovacic and Loftus-Cheek, but again Artur Boruc in the Bournemouth goal made a good save.

At the other end, Bournemouth also created a couple of chances, but Kepa proved equal to them.

Despite the Chelsea pressure, Bournemouth managed to keep it to 0-0 right up until the last ten minutes. It almost looked like it was going to go to penalties. But super sub Hazard had other ideas...

Another substitute, Pedro, started the attack, playing a one-two with the Belgian. Hazard continued his run and Pedro passed through to him in the box, where he struck the ball into the back of the net via a big deflection off a defender's arm.

The Blues have drawn Spurs for the semi-final, which will be played in the new year!
