Chelsea 2-0 Bournemouth

After a tricky first half, Chelsea managed to score two second half goals to win all three points against a strong opponent.

Both teams had got off to great starts to the season, with Chelsea on a 100% winning run, and Bournemouth having taken seven points from their opening three games.

Blues manager Sarri made just one change to the team that beat Newcastle, with Willian starting ahead of Pedro.

The match got off to an exciting start, with Morata nearly getting a goal just minutes after kick-off thanks to a lofted ball from Rudiger! Bournemouth captain Simon Francis was on hand to clear the danger, which lead to the opposition team launching their first attack of the match.

Soon after, a penalty shout was made after a possible hand ball from Jerrson Lerma after Willian’s cross appeared to strike the player’s arm.

The first half continued to be very attacking, with Chelsea’s best chance on goal coming from a brilliant bit of play from Kante who ran at the retreating opposition, before launching the ball to Hazard, who slipped it towards Alonso who smashed the ball into the post! So close!

With this attack being the last of the first half, you could sense an even more exciting second half was on its way!

After more great defending from the visiting side, Morata came very close again in the 54th minute, after Hazard did brilliantly to run at goal before teeing up the Spanish international, who saw his effort saved by Begovic.

Following this attempt on goal, the opposition side came incredibly close to taking the lead after a corner found its way to Nathan Ake, who somehow missed from point-blank range!

As the second-half went on, both teams needed to step it up if they wanted the three points, and it was the Blues that finally broke the deadlock!

Pedro, who had only been on the pitch for a couple of minutes, was fed the ball from Alonso, then played a great exchange with Giroud before launching the ball into the bottom corner! 1-0 Chelsea!

With the momentum on the Blues side, it didn’t take them long to net another goal!

Hazard made an attacking run towards goal, exchanged passes with Alonso, then drilled the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-0!

There was no coming back from the opposition after this, and Chelsea claimed all three points to continue their amazing winning streak!
