Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United

The sun was shining on Wembley on Saturday afternoon, as the Blues won themselves their eighth FA Cup!

It wasn’t an easy game! Both teams put up a defensive front in the search for glory. But it was Chelsea that broke through thanks to a penalty from Eden Hazard.

The Chelsea team was the same that beat Liverpool a couple of weeks ago, meaning that Hazard was starting his 300th game for the Blues!

Both teams came out attacking, but it was Chelsea that had the first attempt on goal, with Hazard forcing a save from De Gea early on.

After 20 minutes of tight play, Hazard suddenly found himself in acres of space. He ran forward before feeding the ball to Cesc Fabregas, who hit a perfect pass back to him. The Belgian made one of his trademark brilliant dribbles, before being taken down by Phil Jones. It was a clear penalty!

Hazard stepped up to the spot and fired the ball into the right-hand corner of the goal! One-nil up in the FA Cup final!

United’s response for the rest of the half wasn’t too threatening, but when there was any trouble, Antonio Rudiger completely bossed our defence, and was rightly named man of the match.

The second period started with United on the front foot, with Rashford aiming a dangerous free-kick towards the Chelsea goal. Luckily Courtois was there to punch it out!

United looked like a different team in the second half, they really wanted a goal! And in the 63rd minute, it looked like they had one, with Sanchez managing to find the back of the net, only for it to be ruled offside.

We got so close to another goal in the 70th minute! Kante cut the ball to Marcos Alonso, who made a quick shot, only for De Gea to make a smart save.

As we got towards the end of the game, the Blues still had some work to do to ensure the trophy was theirs! Matic sent in a curving shot for Courtios to push out, followed by a Pogba header which he sent wide.

After one more United attack, which was saved once again by the brilliant Courtois, we made it to the end without conceding, meaning the FA Cup was ours!
