Friday Facts: Chelsea vs. Spurs

Hey BridgeKids,

Chelsea travel to Wembley on Sunday to take on last season's runners-up Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The Blues were seven points ahead of Tottenham in the table at the end of last season, but both fixtures between the two sides were won by the home team.

The season before that, Tottenham were challenging for the title before Chelsea held them to a 2-2 draw in May, meaning Leicester City lifted the trophy for the first time ever.

I'm excited for this match, as whoever wins will get a great boost, even though it's still early in the season!

Anyway, here are my five favourite facts about Chelsea and Spurs!

1. The Blues’ biggest ever win against Spurs was at White Hart Lane fixture 10 years ago. Chelsea put six past their London opponents!

2. The last time Chelsea lifted the FA Cup, in 2012, they thrashed Tottenham 5-1 at Wembley in the semi-final to set up a final against Liverpool.

3. The Blues also beat Tottenham in the 2015 League Cup final, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from John Terry and Diego Costa.

4. Chelsea have only lost to Spurs twice since December 2010, winning eight and drawing seven.

5. Antonio Conte will be in charge for his 50th Chelsea game on Sunday!
