Blues beat Fulham to go third!

The Blues went to third in the Premier League table after beating Fulham 2-0 in the West London derby.

Pedro scored an early goal to put Chelsea in the driving seat.

N’Golo Kante won the ball brilliantly in midfield before passing to Pedro in the box. The Spanish international beat a defender before curling the ball past the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.

It was the winger’s 150th goal for the Blues!

Despite being a goal down, and bottom of the Premier League, Fulham came back into the game, and the rest of the first half was very even.

Chelsea defended incredibly well and Kepa made two excellent saves to keep Chelsea ahead.

The Blues were back on top in the second half, and Hazard came close to getting another, but the Fulham keeper managed to dive low and keep it out.

They didn’t have to wait long for another, however, and when it came it was classic Chelsea.

Hazard started off the move, accelerating towards the Fulham box before passing to Pedro. The opening goal scorer stroked a first-time pass to Loftus-Cheek, whose delicate touch found Hazard, who had continued his run.

The Belgian sprinted to the edge of the box before squaring it to Loftus-Cheek, who had held his run. Loftus-Cheek, who was winning his 50th cap for the Blues, let the ball run across his body before firing it into the back of the net.

The win puts Chelsea into third, as Spurs lost to Arsenal on Sunday. Up next is a trip to play Wolves, another recently promoted side, on Wednesday.
