Mason Mount scores in England U19 win

Mason Mount scored the first goal for England Under-19s as they beat Bulgaria in their European Championship opener.

Fellow Blue Dujon Sterling set up Mount to open the scoring in the first minute of the match. Sterling crossed a dangerous ball in from the right wing, which Chelsea Academy Player of the Year Mount finished from close range.

Sterling was playing in defence alongside two more Chelsea players: Trevoh Chalobah and Jay Dasilva. Dasilva captained the young England side!

Bulgaria had chances to level the score before half-time, but Ryan Sessegnon was the next to score, giving England a two-goal lead.

Jacob Maddox also featured from the bench. England face the Netherlands and Germany in their final two games in Group B.

There is also a Chelsea player in action in Group A: Joseph Colley played 90 minutes for Sweden as they lost narrowly to the Czech Republic.
