Blues prepare for Newcastle clash

Chelsea host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday, looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches.

The Magpies, meanwhile, are without a win in five, but broke their losing run of four matches with a midweek draw against West Brom, coming back from 2-0 down.

Newcastle have only managed one goal in their last four matches at Stamford Bridge, which was in a 5-1 win for Chelsea. Pedro scored two that day, and may well get the chance to add to his tally against the Northern side on Saturday.

The visiting manager, Rafael Benitez, has plenty of history with Chelsea. First as Liverpool manager, he faced Chelsea 26 times in five different competitions. Chelsea won 12 of those matches and lost seven.

Benitez then went on to manage Chelsea for half a season, leading the Blues to their first Europa League win!

As the match kicks off at 12.30pm UK time, a win would put the Blues level on points with Manchester United in second.

United face Arsenal at the Emirates in the evening fixture, so the two sides could finish the weekend only separated by goal difference.

The forecast is for cold weather on Saturday, so if you're travelling to Stamford Bridge be sure to wrap up warm. If not, keep an eye on BridgeKids for a full match report!
