Premier League 2: Chelsea 2-2 Man U

Chelsea's development squad came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Manchester United in the Premier League 2 on Monday.

Isaac Christie-Davies scored the first Chelsea goal in the 72nd minute, before Callum Hudson-Odoi completed the come back ten minutes later.

Joe Edwards made four changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Sunderland in the last match.

Joseph Colley joined Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James and Josh Grant in a back four in front of goalkeeper Jamie Cumming. Captain Ruben Sammut started deepest in a midfield triangle with Luke McCormick, Jacob Maddox and Christie-Davies. Hudson-Odoi partnered Miro Muheim up front.

United's first goal came against the run of play, but after that the visitors came more into the match, buoyed by confidence after opening the scoreline.

The Blues had chances, with Hudson-Odoi coming closest when he struck the post, but it took some smart changes by Edwards to change things up.

Charlie Brown and Cole Dasilva came on after the hour-mark, and Edwards changed the formation to 3-4-3.

The goal came shortly after. Christie-Davies exchanged neat passes with Maddox on the edge of the area, the last pass being a clever back-heel from Hudson-Odoi. Christie-Davies didn't break his stride and swept the ball home home.

McCormick set up the second goal with a lofted ball over the top for Hudson-Odoi to chase. The striker muscled a defender out of the before chipping the goalkeeper.

Next up for the young Blues is an away match against Leicester City.
