Chelsea 3-0 West Brom

Eden Hazard scored two great goals as Chelsea beat West Brom 3-0 on Monday night.

The Blues needed a win to bounce back from two straight Premier League defeats, moving back into the top four with the result.

Victor Moses scored the third goal, while Olivier Giroud made his first start for Chelsea and set up Hazard's opener.

The French striker came off in the second-half, making way for Alvaro Morata on his return from injury. The Spanish international then set up Eden Hazard for his second and Chelsea's third.

Thibaut Courtois was in goal, protected by Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger. Moses was on one wing, with Davide Zappacosta on the other, while N'Golo Kante joined Cesc Fabregas in midfield.

Hazard and Pedro supported Giroud up front.

Chelsea started slowly, and Blues fans feared the worst when Jay Rodriguez was let through on goal, but the West Brom striker hurried his shot and pulled it wide.

After that scare the Blues took control. Halfway through the first 45 minutes Chelsea were in the lead after a brilliant one-two between Hazard and Giroud.

The Belgian flicked it on to Chelsea's new signing, who was holding off a defender in the West Brom box. Giroud gave it the slightest of touches to put it right in Hazard's path, and Chelsea's number 10 fired it into the bottom corner.

The Blues kept up the clever, fast-moving football, getting the ball up to Giroud who used his strength to hold off the West Brom defence. However, the Blues couldn't find another goal before the half-time whistle.

It was two-nil after the hour-mark, thanks to a clever flick and a bit of luck. Fabregas's back-heel on the edge of the area deflected off a Baggies defender right into the path of Moses, who slotted it calmly under the goalkeeper.

Chelsea's third goal was all Hazard. The Belgian received the ball outside the area from substitute Morata, and drew a defender away from goal. He then darted inside and fired a left-footed shot inside the near post, wrong-footing the 'keeper.

The win sets Chelsea up for two important cup games: first they face Hull City in the FA Cup on Friday, and then they host Barcelona in the Champions League.
