Chelsea prepare for West Brom clash

Chelsea take on West Brom at Stamford Bridge tonight, needing a win to get back into the top four.

The Blues have struggled for form of late, but a week-long break from playing competitively will have given them some much-needed energy going into tonight's match.

They take on West Brom, who are sitting at the bottom of the table, five points from their closest rivals and seventh from safety.

They is a massive 30 points between them and the Blues, as well, but Antonio Conte's side will know that this gulf in results won't necessarily translate into an easy match.

That said, the Baggies haven't won at Stamford Bridge in 34 years. Chelsea have won 13 of the last 16 matches between the two sides in that time, drawing three!

Earlier this season, the Blues hammered West Brom 4-0, thanks to an Eden Hazard brace and goals from Alvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso. Last season, meanwhile, the Blues did the double, winning 1-0 both times.

Chelsea will be hoping for the second big win against the Baggies in a season, especially as there are a few big matches coming up.

First, Chelsea take on Hull City in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Friday. Then, on Tuesday 20 February, it's La Liga leaders Barcelona's turn to visit the Bridge for the first leg of their Champions League round of 16.

In fact, Chelsea don't return to Premier League action until the 25 February, and then they have two trips to Manchester in two matches, first to take on United, and then to face City.

With all those big games coming up, a win tonight becomes far more important.

The match kicks off at 8pm tonight. Check out BridgeKids tomorrow for a full match report!
