World Cup Update!

England have reached their first World Cup semi-finals since 1990 after beating Sweden 2-0!

It was an exciting day for English football, as the team rose to the occasion and put in a confident shift to easily beat the Swedish team. Goals from Harry Maguire and Dele Alli, along with a majestic goalkeeping display from Jordan Pickford, were enough to push England to the semis!

Chelsea players Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Gary Cahill were unused substitutes, but their influence in the tournament so far has been undeniable, and there’s a good chance they’ll feature in the semi-final against Croatia!

Chelsea stars Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard played brilliantly as Belgium knocked out Brazil from the tournament, which featured another Chelsea star, Willian.

An early own-goal from Manchester City’s Fernando and a strike from Kevin De Bruyne put Belgium up by two in the first half, and though Renato Augusto managed to score for Brazil in the 76th minute, it wasn’t enough to beat Belgium!

If England can overcome Croatia in the semi-finals, a Chelsea player is guaranteed to be a World Cup winner this year!
